The smallest orienteering team in All-China Games
偶爾在網上找到一篇近期的英語報導，雖然不能確定來源，不過應是來自國內新華社。由於這篇報導似乎很有意思，所以小弟花些少時間，做了個粗糙的翻譯，不過真的十分粗糙，希望大家見諒。

這真是支很細小的隊伍。
比對其他隊伍派出最少四名隊員，只有三位成員的香港代表隊，是規模最小的定向代表隊。而這個隊伍全部成員，都是小於廿一歲。
但比起中國內地，這支小隊伍其實在舉辦定向賽事有更悠長的歷史。在不足廿年前，正是香港定向運動員把這項運動帶進內地。中國定向官員馬惠敏亦表示，在定向這範疇，香港其實是內地的師範。
然而，當中國運動員在一個月前橫掃亞洲錦標賽的獎牌榜時，他們在香港的伙伴卻仍在中下游苦苦掙扎中。
梁林，一名為這項運動獻出了卅年光景的定向愛好者，是這支隊伍的總教練。
「我們的運動員很難在全國體育大會中贏得任何獎牌」他表示，「因為中國大陸有太多優秀的運動員。中國隊是世界上其中一支最佳的隊伍。」
三名隊員中的兩人是學生。相對部份國內運動員是每天都在做訓練，他們每星期只能花不足六小時作訓練。梁林表示︰「他們熱愛定向，但完全沒有時間。」
野外定向在香港是熱門運動，即使在部份小學也有舉辦定向比賽。不過，因為缺乏合適地形，香港運動員須要離開家門到海外訓練，訓練時間缺乏及訓練費用高昂嚴重窒礙這項運動的發展。
「除非能在國際比賽中獲得佳績，否則政府不會提升對我們的經濟支持」梁林表示，「但其實我們並不是為金錢而戰，我們來這裡只是因為熱愛定向，這已是最好的理由。」
野外定向是在中國中部城市合肥舉行的全國體育大會的卅四個非奧運比賽項目之一。

(China Sports) The smallest orienteering team in All-China Games
HEFEI, China, May. 15 (Xinhua) -- It's a very small team.
The Hong Kong team, which only consists of three orienteers, turns out to be the smallest orienteering team in All-China Games, with each of the other 26 teams sending at least four athletes. All of the three Hong Kong team members are under 21.
The smallest team has a longer history in holding orienteering games than Chinese mainland. Less than 20 years ago, it was the Hong Kong orienteers who first introduced the sport to the Chinese mainland. Ma Huimin, an official from China's governing body on orienteering, regards Hong Kong as the "teacher" of Chinese mainland on orienteering.
However, when athletes from Chinese mainland dominated the Asian Championship a month ago, their Hong Kong partners still stayed below the average level.
Liang Lin, an orienteer who had devoted in this sport for more than 30 years, is the head coach of the Hong Kong team.
"They are unlikely to win any events in All-China Games," said Liang, "because there are so many wonderful runners from mainland. Chinese team is one of the best in the world."
Two of the three team members were students. They spent no more than six hours per week on training, while some mainland orienteers kept training every day. "They love orienteering, but they simply don't have time," said Liang.
Orienteering is a popular sport in Hong Kong. There are orienteering games even in primary schools. Nevertheless, Hong Kong orienteers had to go away from home for training because of Hong Kong's simple terrain. Inadequate training time and high training cost prevented Hong Kong orienteers from rapid progress.
"The governing body won't give us more financial support unless we perform better in international competitions," said Liang. "But we don't run for money. We come here because we love orienteering, and that's enough."
Orienteering is one of the 34 non-Olympic events in the All- China Games being held in Hefei, a central city in China.

比賽後報導 (四合一續集)
上次偷工減料的四合一後﹐小弟又驛馬星動，到了北大荒考察一趟，剩下半條命回來，惟有速速把之前的賽程補回︰
香港野外定向排名聯賽 第五站 (2010-03-21 北潭凹)
其實光從賽程來看，青進的朋友是有些失手的，因為其實不算好玩，尤其控制點6-10只是一段上斜大直路，辛苦又乏味(當然大家明白主要是賽區的限制)。只是當大家玩完數月前西貢昂平的經典賽事後，這又不算甚麼了。何況，下午的百米定向又加回了不少分數呢！
香港野外定向會黑夜定向賽 (2010-03-27 長洲)
與北潭凹相比，長洲可是得天獨厚，因為賽程設計者只需稍花心思，就能設計到難度高又好玩的賽程。當然本地精英最後亦沒有令大家失望。
西九定向賽暨親子定向同樂日 (2010-04-17 西九海濱長廊)
相信這個賽區是全港最古怪之一，因為它是一個圓圈狀的，於是賽程只能以同一走向進行，路線選擇近乎零，加上賽程竟要橫跨天橋，絕對令人R頭加O咀。老實說，賽區地點本身gimmick十足，只是給小弟的幻想太大，親歷其境時反而是有些失望(當然賽會的混亂更大大放大了此感覺)。
中銀香港第五十三屆體育節野外定向接力賽 (2010-04-18 寶馬山)
這項賽事的問題並不是出自賽程，而是起點及接棒區。不過相信稍有經驗的朋友，得悉是屆接力賽的地點時，心裡都必然出了個問號︰究竟有哪裡夠大可以安置個起點及接棒區呢？結果證明，賽事負責人並不是如小弟所想般有特異功能，也只是凡人一個而已。
